Absolutely! Prior to our first meeting, I will give you a call to make sure I can help. If I'm not the right resource, I will do my best to connect you with someone who is. We have the same goal: to get you feeling better!
1. Passion. I love what I do. I feel so strongly about the importance of mental health that I left the corporate world to pursue it.
2. Education/Training. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, and a Masters in Psychiatric/Mental Health from Vanderbilt. I have been fortunate to train alongside some of the most experienced and well respected psychiatrists practicing today.
3. Experience outside healthcare. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practioner, I spent nearly a decade in the corporate world - working in both finance (for a big bank) and marketing (at a small start-up). These experiences help me better understand many of the pressures my patients face in their work-life.
I believe everyone should have access to mental health services - and that care should be affordable. I provide medication management "in-network" through Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford.
Yes. I am licensed to prescribe buprenorphine (commonly called suboxone) which is shown to be very helpful in helping patients overcome substance abuse.
